Went here both nights in Vancouver. Tried other clubs but they were too loud or had a weird vibe. Staff here are amazing. Bouncers courteous. Bartenders had great drink ideas. Safe, clean, great sounds and music. On Saturday night (“Hold my Liquor”) there was an annoying guy with a too loud microphone talking over the music and repeating the same inane stuff and he eventually drove us out with annoyance but the club is awesome.
Absolutely terrible place, with terrible staff. I stupidly dropped my wallet and counted my cash in the bathroom was robbed by a gang of the clubs off duty bouncers. They beat me up in the bathroom then dragged me Outside the club the put me on my back and repeatedly punched my face. Then they stripped of my wallet and watch and repeatedly punched me in the face. I opened 3 active cases against them. Give me my 640$ and my seiko 5 watch back. Bellow are just photos of my body, saving the photos of my face for now.
I was an occaisional fixture here during my university of British Columbia years. Admittedly, there are metal detectors and they’re stringent with the requirement of two sets of government ID, but I have nothing to Hide. So, I always obliged with these Stringent screening processes.
Admittedly, I haven’t ventured here in nearly a decade. However, I do remember the security staff being very differential about who they allowed in them and who they dismissed entry
When I was going here, the bar basically had two distinct, separate line-ups. One was reserved for people that were ‘listed guests’ the other was for unlisted guests. The latter lineup invariably was held Fridays and Saturdays for 1-3 hours. Most of these people never entered the bar because it was supposedly, always at capacity. Although, this was a prevalent problem in most Vancouver night clubs years ago. I think they often did this to beguilingly promote how popular their bar was compared to others.
Even so, I always enjoyed the R&B playlists and general ambience of this venue. I would check it out again, if I was still living in Canada.
We had a great time in Barnone on Valentines day. We were a group of 50 and Jake (the manager) and staff did their best to provide us with an exceptional experience. From my people in Hikefreindly_Group, I am saying , thank you Jake and Cindy for our wonderful night.
